Pharmacy Technician

Description

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for enthusiastic and hard-working Pharmacy Technician to work full-time Day shift. Every other weekend required, in the Medical Department at the Lancaster County Prison in Lancaster, PA. the ideal candidate should be upbeat and maintain a pleasant working attitude when dealing with staff and patients.

A. Maintain accountability and detailed inventory for pharmacy medications and supplies 

B. Strict confidentiality of pharmacy information at all times

C. Maintain neat and well-organized pharmacy medications and supplies

D. Type various reports, letters and memoranda 

E. Maintain pleasant working attitude 

F. Answer telephone and processes calls 

G. Report any issues with missing pharmacy medications and supplies

H. Assist with quarterly Pharmacy inspections

I. Maintain confidentiality at all times.

J. Submit copy of professional license and other credentialing information to the corporate office. 

K. Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or delegated 

Requirements

A. High school graduate or GED 

B. Graduate of a Certified Pharmacy Technologist Program, preferred 

C. One (1) year experience as a pharmacy technologist, preferred 

D. Working knowledge of all pharmaceutical equipment 

E. Working knowledge of medical terminology 

F. Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products 

G. Ability to type with accuracy 

H. Effective communication and telephone manner skills 

I. Effective computer skills

J. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.  

K. Working knowledge of office practices and procedures, English, spelling  and math.
