Pharmacy Technician

Salary: $21.83 weekdays | $23.83 weekends 

Weekly Pay with benefit options

Shifts Available : Monday-Friday

• 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

*3-Month Minimum Contract Assignment with option to extend

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The ideal candidate should be able to answer pharmaceutical questions and display exceptional customer service skills. He/she must display compassion and understanding in addition to attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.  

• Work involves pre-packaging and labeling unit-dose and multiple dose medication orders.
• Medication room inspections,
• Assisting the pharmacist in various technical aspects of preparation of non-routine medication orders for passes, furloughs and discharges.
• Filling medication carts, maintaining required medication stock for after-hours dispensing,
• Performing courier and drug delivery duties.
• Environmental inspections
• Ordering and receiving pharmaceuticals,
• Monthly and annual inventory of pharmaceuticals, and coordinating and overseeing clerical and technical support work.
• Provide treatment to facility employees injured in course and scope of employment.
• Work includes technical pharmacy services that do not require professional judgment regarding preparing and distributing drugs.
• Works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• Must be registered as a Pharmacy Technician and be in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Must be able to pass a urine drug screen and background check 
• Valid Photo ID

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Experience in pharmaceutical assistance work.
• Experience in manual cart fill preferred.
• Experience with medication room inspections preferred.
• Experience with manual and automated medication repackaging preferred.
