Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region.  Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurate. But the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community. While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve.

Note: This role is open to candidates located near Plainfield, IN and who are willing to relocate to the area.

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician, who will be responsible in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services to our customers in the Central Fill facility. You'll work closely with our pharmacists, providing exceptional customer service while adhering to state regulations and Walmart's standards. 



Compensation details:

• Pay starts at $17.00 - 19.00 based on experience.
• Plus a $2.00/hour shift differential for the 2nd shift and $3 for the 3rd shift.

Work Schedule:

• 1st shift – Must be available to work from 6 am to 6 pm
• 2nd shift – Must be available to work from 3 pm to 3 am
• 3rd shift – Must be available to work from 10 pm to 10 am 

Job Duties include: 

• Maintains inventory systems, calibrates medication counting machines, monitors stock levels, and troubleshoots pill cell issues.
• Tracks and replenishes inventory, ensures proper stock rotation, reports low stock, performs inventory counts, and monitors expired pharmaceuticals.
• Supports reporting, updates pharmaceutical data, processes forms, resolves discrepancies, and prepares activity/inventory reports.
• Assists pharmacists in prescription fulfillment, manages stock and returns, maintains necessary documentation, and ensures a clean and safe environment.
• Uses scanners to select, verify, label, and package medications; weighs and counts accurately; ensures fast production flow and replenishes counting machines.
• Utilizes automated systems to manage inventory, audits pill cell performance, disposes of hazardous waste, and processes recalled/expired stock.

Physical Requirements:

• Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stands for long periods of time.
• Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Must meet state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age and hold an active license by the State of Indiana.
• Indiana Pharmacy Technician license (Required)
