Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Pharmacist
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The full-time pharmacy technician position is responsible for preparing medications for patient consumption under the general supervision of a licensed pharmacist and in accordance with standard departmental procedures.

This job operates in a health care setting. This position requires frequent standing and walking to storage shelves and filling counters to fill prescriptions.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The ability to see distinctions in colors and shapes is also required. This position is moderately active and requires standing and walking for the duration of the shift.
Required Education and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Prefer 3+ years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician. 3+ years’ experience with third party billing very helpful, as is experience with electronic medical records. Management or Pharmacy business experience in a small to mid-sized company preferred. Experience with 340B programs, PioneerRx is preferred.
Education: Valid Washington State Pharmacy Technician license.
Other Skills: Above average computer user skills required.
