Pharmacy Technician

Albright Pharmacy is located on the Asbury Methodist Village campus, in Gaithersburg, MD.  The Pharmacy Technician is part of the team that allows Asbury residents enjoy the convenient prescription pharmaceuticals and over-the-counter medications right on the campus where they reside. Full-time Opportunity, Every 3rd Saturday Required

Hourly Compensation:  $19.00 

1. Under the supervision of a pharmacist, and in accordance with State and Federal Laws, fills prescriptions for and assists with daily fills as directed.
2. Effectively operates the Pharmacy computer system to ensure timely and accurate prescription documentation and billing.
3. Orders supplies and prescription medications under the direction of the Pharmacist.
4. Maintains pharmacy Pyxis system, restocks outdates, restocks meds on a daily basis.
5. Answer call center phones, call insurance companies, enter prescriptions into the pharmacy system, fulfill prescriptions into packaging and stage for delivery.
6. Accurately maintains inventory and assists with yearly pharmacy inventory.

1. High School diploma or its equivalent.
2. Current and active Maryland pharmacy technician license.
3. Prior experience as a pharmacy technician/data entry technician with good working knowledge of reviewing and entering prescription orders preferred.
4. Proficient computer skills necessary for data entry, reporting, including documentation and billing.  An ideal candidate would have experience with PrimeCare/QS1 Pharmacy operations system and have some exposure to Pharmacy Automation (ie. TCGRx)
5. Must possess a valid Maryland driver’s license and/or identification card.
