Pharmacy Technician

CareArc is looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team! The pharmacy technician is responsible for assisting the pharmacist in providing patients with friendly, professional, efficient, and timely delivery of pharmacy services. The pharmacy technician will follow pharmacy workflow policy and procedure at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.

Primary Functions

• Interact with public and staff to actively engage in finding ways to assist patients in accessing medications


• Assist in maintaining inventory, including ordering, returning, shelving, and managing on-hand quantities and overstock


• Operate cash register, handling cash and other tenders of payment such as vouchers, debit and credit cards and balancing registers


• Answer the telephone, responding to questions and requests


• Maintaining and updating referral documentation


• Assist the Pharmacy Director with 340B program compliance, as necessary


• Assist the pharmacist with filling new and refill prescriptions

Required Qualifications

• High School graduate or General Education Degree (GED)


• KS Pharmacy Technician Registration
  


• Nationally Certified by taking/passing the PTCE preferred
