Employment Type: Full-Time Shift: Days & Weekends Hours Per Week: 40 hr./week
Hiring Range: $18.39 - $24.59/hr.
Below are the shift differentials based on eligible shifts worked:
Weekday evening shift - additional 10%
Weekday night shift - additional 15%
Weekend day shift - additional 10%
Weekend evening & night shifts - additional 21%
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, package, label, and distribute medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
Refill and maintain automated dispensing cabinets, medication carts, and medication kits
Deliver medications to nursing units and patient care areas in a timely manner
Maintain and rotate medication inventory, including removal of expired products
Prepack medications from bulk bottles into unit-dose packaging, ensuring accurate labeling
Receive, verify, and stock pharmaceutical medications and supplies
Prepares medication orders for the pharmacy department
Communicate effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurses, and healthcare team members
Identify and report medication discrepancies, errors, or safety concerns to the pharmacist in charge
Certified technicians may be eligible to perform expanded duties based on qualifications
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required. Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Pharmacy Technician credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or,
Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
