The Role
We’re looking for a Pharmacy Technician Manager to lead and scale our team of certified pharmacy technicians. This role will oversee day-to-day operations of the technician workforce, drive quality and efficiency, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. You’ll work cross-functionally with our pharmacists, operations, and technology teams to build best-in-class workflows that support the high-volume fulfillment of specialty prescriptions.
Responsibilities
Manage and mentor a team of pharmacy technicians across multiple states, including performance coaching and career development
Set and monitor KPIs related to accuracy, productivity, quality, and compliance
Ensure all workflows meet state and federal pharmacy regulations, including Board of Pharmacy requirements
Collaborate closely with pharmacists, fulfillment partners, and tech teams to improve operational workflows
Own technician hiring, onboarding, and training programs in partnership with People Ops
Monitor technician licensure and certifications to ensure compliance across jurisdictions
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance throughput and reduce errors
Partner with Quality and Compliance teams to address audits, complaints, or other escalations
Be a subject matter expert on technician scope of practice and tech stack utilization
Qualifications
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with an active license in good standing
5+ years of pharmacy technician experience, with at least 2 years in a team leadership or supervisory capacity
Experience in a high-volume fulfillment, mail order, or specialty pharmacy environment preferred
Strong understanding of technician scope of practice and regulatory compliance across states
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Experience with pharmacy software systems (e.g., PioneerRx, QS/1, FrameworkLTC) a plus
