Job Details: Pharmacy Technician

• Location : Correctional Facility in Sacramento, California
• Pay Rate $21.25 to $23.25 Per Hour
• Schedule : 6 months Full Time Contract Eligible for extension
• Mon - Fri 07:30am - 04:00pm

Requirements: Pharmacy Technician

• Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution. Clinical competencies must be current
• Valid Photo ID Driver’s License or Passport (Required)
• Valid California Pharmacy Technician License

Duties/Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to: Pharmacy Technician

• Receive prescription/medical orders;
• Obtain information on new patient/youth to establish patient medical profile, such as diagnosis or desired therapeutic outcome, allergies, adverse reaction(s), and medical history;
• Assess prescription/medication order for completeness, correctness, authenticity, and legality;
• Enter prescription information onto patient/youth profile;
• Record preparation of medication in various dosage forms;
• Review pharmacy stock for expired drugs;
• Assist Pharmacist-in-Charge, Pharmacist, or designee to identify and resolve problems that arise with patient/youth therapy; and
• Other duties as assigned
