Phlebotomist

Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Gloucester County, New Jersey
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Start Date: Immediately

Contract End Date: 3/13/2026

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team at an outpatient clinic in Gloucester, NJ.  The ideal candidate will be skilled in blood collection, specimen handling, and patient identification, ensuring the highest standards of care and accuracy for our patients. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Trained Phlebotomist
• At least one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy training program
• Experience working independently with complex specimens

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for inpatients and outpatients
• Ensure positive patient identification and specimen integrity throughout the process
• Accession and label all incoming clinical pathology specimens accurately
• Follow established protocols, maintaining strict adherence to safety and infection control procedures
• Utilize manual dexterity and sound judgment to ensure quality and accuracy in all aspects of specimen collection

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• The Phlebotomist is expected to devote the necessary time and attention to ensure delivery of high-quality laboratory services to patients

Training/Orientation:

• Initial training and orientation will be provided under the supervision of the assigned Supervisor or designee
