Phlebotomist

Talent Consultants is on the lookout for a dedicated phlebotomist for a day shift position! In this vital role, you will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients, ensuring both comfort and accuracy, while working closely with medical staff to support the laboratory's operations. Your expertise in venipuncture will contribute significantly to our commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient blood draws using proper venipuncture and capillary methods.
• Ensure the comfort and safety of patients throughout the blood collection process.
• Accurately label and document blood samples, adhering to laboratory protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the workspace to meet safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients and answer any questions regarding the procedure.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to enhance patient experience and workflow efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any supply needs to the supervisor.
• Follow all infection control and safety guidelines rigorously.

5:30A - 2:00P

6:00A - 2:30P

6:30A - 3:00P

7:00A - 3:30P

7:30A - 4:00P

8:00A - 4:30P

8:30A - 5:00P

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of recent Phlebotomy experience
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.
• Certification as a Phlebotomist preferred (e.g., NHA, ASCP).
• Previous experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when dealing with patients.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated empathy and respect for patients.
• Boston Healthcare System (BHS) locations: Brockton Campus (1 phlebotomist), Jamaica Plain Campus (3 phlebotomists), and West Roxbury Campus (1 phlebotomist)

• Salary: 45k to 50k
