Physical Education Teacher

Description

The Physical Education/ AD is responsible for organizing innovative games and challenges that promote physical activity among all students from grades PreK3-8. The goal is to develop motor skills, physical development, proper exercise, and eating habits among all students. The teacher must be knowledgeable about healthy life practices and use every day relevant situations to teach these practices.  The AD must coordinate all team sports and work in conjunction the CYS. They maintain and teach the importance of sportsmanship for student athletes and coaches.

Important Qualities of the Ideal Candidate Include: Flexibility, creativity, resourcefulness, enthusiasm for teaching and learning, organized, with strong classroom systems and management skills for all grade levels.

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.
• State of Florida teaching certificate required. 
• Must be Diocesan Fingerprint/Background check cleared.
• Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.
• Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church.
