Physical Layer Technican - Opportunity to Make a Difference

Our client, a leading technology solutions provider, is seeking a Physical Layer Technician to join their team. As a Physical Layer Technician, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Network Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Physical Layer Technician

Location: Burlingame, CA

Pay Range: $25-30/hr DOE

What’s the Job?

• Assist in the physical racking and cabling of server equipment into industrial server cabinets.
• Follow all quality policies and procedures to ensure high-quality products are produced on schedule.
• Employ high standards of workmanship throughout the assembly process, from cabinet setup to final inspection.
• Assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of servers.
• Follow supervisor's instructions and testing procedures accurately.

What’s Needed?

• High attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• Previous experience with cable labeling, routing, and bundling related to server rack builds.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to lift light to moderate weights unassisted and moderate to heavy weights with assistance.
• Familiarity with racking basic servers from various manufacturers such as SuperMicro, Intel, HP, Dell, IBM, Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Dell, Servertech, and APC equipment.
