Overview:
WiredPeople is seeking a Physical Therapist. The ideal candidate would be required to work 10.5 hours a week. This candidate will provide high-quality therapeutic services to students with developmental disabilities. The PT will assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to support students' educational goals in collaboration with educators, families, and IEP teams. This position is part-time and on-site in Rolla, MO.
Essential Functions:
Conduct physical therapy evaluations for students referred through the special education process.
Develop and implement therapy plans based on assessment results, aligned with IEP/504 goals.
Deliver direct and consultative services to students in classroom, therapy, and community settings.
Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families as a member of the IEP team.
Maintain detailed documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and student progress.
Train and support school staff in implementing strategies, positioning, and use of adaptive equipment.
Contribute to transition planning to promote student independence and functional mobility.
Monitor and maintain therapy equipment and assist with environmental modifications as needed.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations (IDEA, Section 504, FERPA)
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Master’s or Doctorate preferred).
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Missouri.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric or school-based settings (preferred).
Demonstrated knowledge of motor development, physical disabilities, and assistive devices.
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Ability to travel between school sites and assist in student transfers (must be able to lift up to 40 lbs).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student data management systems.
