You'll provide essential rehabilitation care in an acute care setting, working weekends to ensure continuity of care for patients when they need it most. This full-time position offers flexible scheduling with weekend requirements, allowing you to deliver high-quality physical therapy while earning a significant weekend pay premium on top of your base rate.

Your Day-to-Day
You'll conduct initial evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's rehabilitation needs. You'll administer therapeutic treatments including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound, heat/ice therapy, and electrical stimulation.
Your work includes:
Educating patients on exercise programs, posture correction, and injury prevention
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans to meet rehabilitation goals
Documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with departmental policies
Empowering patients through education to manage their recovery and prevent future injuries
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment while adhering to infection control and safety guidelines
What We're Looking For
Education & Licensure:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
Valid Physical Therapist license in New York (or eligibility to obtain at time of hire)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
Experience & Skills:
Prior experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred
Ability to deliver compassionate care for patients with orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and team members
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and moving patients during treatment sessions
