Physical Therapist Assistant

Miami Valley Hospital Physical Therapist Assistant Full-Time: 40 hours per week The physical therapist assistant assists the physical therapist in providing direct patient care services. The assistant provides treatment to patients to enhance the physical and/or cognitive performance while adjusting to their disabilities as defined in the assistant's scope of practice. The assistant documents treatment according to departmental standards. The assistant is a positive contributor to disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams. They participate in professional development; supervision of students and volunteers as appropriate; and in orienting new employees. Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Licensure: Possess a valid license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the State of Ohio. Certification: Active BLS certification
