Physical Therapist Assistant

• We are GROWING and are looking for individuals to fill our growing clinics. 

SETTING:

• Outpatient setting in a hospital, primarily seeing inpatients


• Monday-Friday

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implementing Treatment Plans: Assisting in carrying out physical therapy treatment plans as designed by the Physical Therapist. 


• Patient Monitoring and Progress Reporting: Observe and record patient responses to treatments, Regularly update the supervising PT about patient's progress, concerns and any changes in conditions.


• Educating Patients: Instruct patients on exercises and activities to be done at home to complement their therapy sessions, ensuring proper techniques to avoid injury and improve recovery.


• Assist with Mobility: Help patients with exercises aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance and coordination.


• Clinic Policies: Adhere to the established clinic policies, regulations, and confidentiality protocols


• Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records.


• Maintain Equipment and Safety: Ensure that physical therapy equipment is clean, safe, and in good working condition.  


• Collaboration with Team: Work closely with your co-workers to optimize patient care and provide a great patient experience.


• Assist with Front Desk: Help with greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and checking insurance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant  program with a PTA license in Iowa (new grads are welcome to apply)


• Valid driver's license
