Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time position in our Physical Therapy Department for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

Physical Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:

• The Physical Therapist Assistant promotes and maintains health by providing therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Contributes to a physical therapist’s effectiveness by identifying patient care issues.
• Administers treatment programs for patients as specified in the plan of care established by the physical therapist.
• 40 hours per week 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional weekend and holiday rotation.

 Requirements:

• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited physical therapy assistant program.
• Expand professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading periodicals, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Current license from the State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
• Must pass the National Physical Therapy Assistant Exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
• CPR certification and Iowa Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certifications are required as an employee.
