Position Summary

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers in Lake City, FL is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient team on a PRN basis.

This is a great opportunity for a PTA looking to supplement their current schedule, maintain flexibility, or stay active in outpatient patient care.

Working alongside our Physical Therapists, you will help carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients' strength, mobility, balance, function, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist


• Provide therapeutic exercise, balance training, gait training, and functional mobility interventions


• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates with the supervising Physical Therapist


• Educate patients regarding therapeutic exercises and home exercise programs


• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation


• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other members of the clinical team


• Provide a positive, patient-centered experience throughout the course of care


• Follow applicable professional, ethical, regulatory, and clinic standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program


• Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for Florida licensure


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care


• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a clinical team


• Outpatient experience is a plus but not required


• New graduates are encouraged to apply
