Job Description - Physical Therapist FT (Temporary)

We are actively seeking a Full-time (Temporary) Physical Therapist at our Kansas City, MO site location.
The ideal candidate will:
Participate in the development of a treatment plan and actively help with case management of both work and non-work-related injuries for site personnel.
Identify and develop appropriate work-related ergonomic educational materials to be distributed amongst the workforce encouraging how to perform job tasks with proper body mechanics.
Instruct and demonstrate proper ergonomic movement and lifting techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness while performing normal job tasks.
Evaluate injury risks at a minimum of once a week in written format to MMC management for presentation to the client.
Participate in consultation for work and non-work-related injuries as requested by the workforce.
Work with Safety Professionals and MMC management to create new programs and initiatives to improve worker’s well-being.
Collect and analyze data to find trends and suggest proactive changes to the workforce to prevent injury.
The ideal candidate should:
Be passionate about the preventative care, wellness, and education of all site personnel.
Have experience and/or be comfortable in an industrial/construction setting.
Have leadership skills and be able to work without direct supervision when necessary but follow the direction of the clinical lead and MMC management when given.
Have strong communication skills and be able to build rapport with clients, safety professionals, and construction workers.
Be able to collaborate with internal department leads.
Have proven knowledge or the desire to learn the evaluation, and treatment of musculoskeletal related injuries and participate in the development of a treatment plan to ensure a treatment plan is in place and coordinated with all parties involved.
Possess a strong knowledge of body mechanics.
Possess knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure safe and effective ergonomic programming.
Required Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a Physical Therapist at an occupational health clinic or similar role.
Computer skills and understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
An understanding or desire to learn the challenges that site personnel may face directly related to their job description.
Understanding of first-aid treatments, massage, and physical therapy techniques, and equipment
Detail-oriented, analytical, and attentive.
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
Appropriate degree and currently active applicable state license for Physical Therapy.
Compensation: $42-$50 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8-hour shift
Potential for Monday – Thursday; Daylight
