Physical Therapist – LTC/SNF - Travel Position

Pay: $2,035/week

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Kinston, NC, on a travel contract. The Physical Therapist will evaluate residents, create individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services designed to improve mobility, restore function, and enhance independence. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-centered, and experienced in geriatric rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess functional abilities, mobility, and therapy needs.


• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and care teams.


• Provide therapeutic interventions including strengthening, balance, gait training, and mobility exercises.


• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, safety techniques, and use of assistive equipment.


• Document patient evaluations, progress, and treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated and effective care.


• Promote resident safety, independence, and quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.


• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina (or compact license).


• Minimum of 1 year of recent PT experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.


• Current certification in Basic Life Support.


• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.


• Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills.


• Compassionate approach with experience supporting geriatric patients.
