Job Description - Physical Therapist - Maine

Key Responsibilities


As a Physical Therapist in Maine, you will:



  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions and limitations.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to restore movement and reduce pain.

  • Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and rehabilitation equipment.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Maine’s clinical and regulatory standards.

  • Stay current with continuing education and best practices in physical therapy.


Qualifications & Skills



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

  • Active or eligible for Maine State PT licensure.

  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Physical stamina and dexterity for hands-on therapy.

  • A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.


Requirements



  • Valid PT license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Maine.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in English (IELTS/OET/PTE/TOEFL may be required for international applicants).

  • Willingness to relocate and adapt to the U.S. healthcare environment.
