Physical Therapist Orthopedic Resident

Base Pay: 80% Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), which is $62,500, with additional performance pay available for total potential earnings up to $75,000.

Program Cost: The residency program is fully funded by Mountain Land Physical Therapy and is viewed as an investment in the future of the company and the physical therapy profession. There are no tuition costs for residents.

Our Orthopedic Residency provides practicing clinicians with advanced orthopedic education and 1:1 clinical mentorship to develop highly skilled, evidence-based practitioners and future leaders in the profession.

As a resident, you will integrate the best available evidence into patient care, collaborate with experienced mentors, and prepare to sit for the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) examination through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).

What Will Your Residency Experience Look Like at Mountain Land?

• Engage in Advanced Clinical Practice:
  Work 32 clinical hours per week with dedicated mentorship and 8 hours for didactic learning. Schedules are designed to balance patient care, coursework, mentorship, and professional growth.

  Gain exposure to unique learning opportunities including orthopedic surgical observation, physician clinic collaboration, EMG observation, and musculoskeletal ultrasound training.

  Complete leadership, service-based, and research projects while attending monthly spine rounds, in-services, and conferences such as the Mountain Land Running or Pelvic Summit.
