Qualifications Education Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Licensure/Certification/Registration Current physical therapy license in State of Ohio. BLS certification required with in 30 days of hire. Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: No prior job-related work experience Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job related experience. Knowledge/Skills Able to multi-task with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. Dependable, flexible and adaptable to change. Teamwork oriented. Display tact, diplomacy, and professionalism. Strong analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Basic computer knowledge and skills. Key Responsibilities Include: Representing Premier Health in a positive and professional manner at all times. Fostering a culture of safety for both patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention practices. Supporting a clean, quiet, and healing environment to enhance the patient care experience. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and competence in current best practices, standards, and developments within the scope of the role. Adhering strictly to infection prevention policies, medication handling procedures, and controlled substance regulations. Actively participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives. Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, departmental procedures, and applicable professional standards. Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with regulatory and organizational guidelines. Delivering exceptional customer service that reflects the organization's mission, vision, and values. Complying with all professional, hospital, and regulatory standards, including those set by The Joint Commission (TJC) and other accrediting bodies. Meeting attendance requirements and reporting to work as scheduled. Essential Duties & Functions: Evaluates, treats, documents, delegates, and discharges patients per service guidelines. Engages in interdisciplinary patient care management. Bills appropriately for services and supplies provided as indicated through matching of documentation and service charges. Provides oversight of Physical Therapist Assistants. Provides patient/family education. Participates in programs/service performance improvement activities. Manages case load per department standards. Engages in patient satisfaction efforts and looks for opportunities to ensure that all patients have a satisfying experience. Passes all required hospital/department competencies and related testing; applies to everyday performance.
