In this Physical Therapist Assistant role, you would act as the patient’s partner throughout the plan of care in the Ft Myers/ Cape Coral, FL area. you will evaluate, assess, and deliver services according to written plan of treatment established by a physician. As a PTA you would work closely with the Physical Therapist to maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation. Under the direction of the Plan of Treatment established with a physician and with input from patient/caregiver, you will assist in ensuring a better way of living and healthy recovery.

What You Would be Responsible for:

Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs

Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques

Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions

Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally

Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination

Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress

Other responsibilities will be assigned

Haven Qualification Standards: 

Minimum: Degree from an accredited PTA program

1-year of Medicare home health experience required 

Licensed/registered in the state of the HHA as a physical therapist assistant 

Proven work experience as a physical therapist assistant

Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities

Current knowledge of treatment practices

Drive to continually learn and grow

Professional behavior

Excellent interpersonal communication skills
