Physical Therapy Assistant (Per Diem)

Better Care Home Health, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to perform home health visits for our Leominster, MA office. This office provides services to clients throughout Central Massachusetts.  As a Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides skilled nursing and rehabilitative care to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Better Care Home Health, Inc. offers full-time, part-time and per-diem schedules. Responsibilities include:

• Making home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.

• Working collaboratively with a Physical Therapist, you will provide therapy to an adult and geriatric population in their homes in Central Massachusetts.

• Prior home care experience is preferred but not required.

• As a home care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) you will assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical well being by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations pertaining to patient care management and services provided utilizing the EMR.

Qualifications for the ideal candidate:

• Home care and/or hospice experience is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.

• Ability to travel to cases, as assigned.

Requirements: 

Internet-capable Computer, Smart Phone and/or Tablet (iPad/Android) for accessing and working within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

All applicants will be required to submit a background check authorization with the Massachusetts Criminal Offender Information Registry (CORI).

A valid, unrestricted MA drivers license and reliable transportation.

Valid, unrestricted licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the State of Massachusetts.
