Gain Hands-On Experience in Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Rehabilitation
South Florida Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking an energetic, patient-focused Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Technician to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in Port St. Lucie (Tradition).
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in physical therapy, sports medicine, exercise science, athletic training, occupational therapy, physician assistant studies, or other healthcare careers. As a Rehab Technician, you'll work alongside experienced Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Our rehabilitation team helps patients recover from surgery, sports injuries, workplace injuries, chronic pain conditions, and musculoskeletal disorders. Every day, you'll play an important role in helping patients regain strength, mobility, and function.
What You'll Do
• Assist Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants in supporting patient treatment plans
• Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for therapy sessions
• Monitor and maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
• Assist with patient flow to support an efficient and positive rehabilitation experience
• Help patients move safely throughout the clinic as directed by licensed staff
• Collaborate with fellow Rehab Technicians to ensure adequate clinic coverage
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and families
• Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, therapists, providers, and team members
• Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogen, and practice protocols

Our Ideal Candidate

You have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine interest in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. You are comfortable staying active throughout the day and can successfully balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Preferred
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, fitness, athletic training, or clinical environment
• Previous experience as a Rehabilitation Technician, Medical Assistant, Athletic Trainer, Personal Trainer, or similar role
• Coursework or degree pursuit in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning healthcare technology systems
Required
• Experience working directly with the public is required. Candidates must be comfortable interacting with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with a clinical team
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Commitment to providing outstanding patient service
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Ability to remain active throughout the workday and assist in a fast-paced clinical setting
Schedule
• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• 40 hours per week
• Scheduled shifts between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
• Based in our Port St. Lucie (Tradition) PT clinic
Physical Requirements
• Standing and walking for extended periods throughout the workday
• Assisting patients with mobility and positioning
• Frequent bending, reaching, pulling, and stooping
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Assisting with patients weighing up to 300 pounds
