General Surgery Physician Assistant Opportunity
- Need: PA to work in the Clinic & eventually the OR also.

- We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our General Surgery team.
- The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- As a General Surgery Physician Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient management, contributing to positive surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with surgical conditions, including performing comprehensive history and physical examinations.
- Participate in patient consultations, providing education on surgical procedures, risks, benefits, and postoperative care instructions.
- Perform or assist with procedures within the scope of practice, including wound debridement, wound closure, drain removal, and suture removal.
- Coordinate preoperative testing, imaging studies, and consultations with specialists to optimize patient readiness for surgery.
- Assist in surgical procedures, including positioning patients, providing exposure, handling instruments, and suturing incisions under the supervision of a surgeon.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement multidisciplinary care plans, including pain management, nutritional support, and rehabilitation.
- Provide patient education on postoperative care, wound management, activity restrictions, and medication management to facilitate recovery and prevent complications.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) in Texas.
- Demonstrated clinical judgment and critical thinking skills to assess complex surgical cases and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and adherence to regulatory standards and best practices.
- Familiarity with surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile techniques.
