Job Description - Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Urgent Care / Primary Care
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a collaborative outpatient healthcare team in Monroe, North Carolina. This full-time onsite position focuses on delivering high-quality medical care in a fast-paced clinic environment while supporting positive patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and education.
The Physician Assistant will assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of medical conditions while working under physician supervision. The role includes interpreting diagnostic results, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing preventive care guidance. Collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical support staff is essential to maintaining efficient patient care operations.

Key Responsibilities
Perform patient evaluations including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and clinical assessments
Diagnose and manage acute illnesses as well as chronic medical conditions
Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnostic findings and evidence-based guidelines
Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work and imaging studies
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with North Carolina practice regulations
Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care delivery
Provide patient education related to preventive healthcare, medication adherence, and chronic disease management
Document patient encounters accurately within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Support patient care across routine outpatient visits and urgent care cases
Active and unrestricted North Carolina Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure
NCCPA certification (PA-C) required
Experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care strongly preferred
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare environment
Collaborative mindset and ability to work within a multidisciplinary care team
