Job Description - Pickleball Pro

Genesis Health Clubs is looking for an experienced, responsible, and enthusiastic Pickleball Instructor and Program Developer. Genesis has 3 locations with members wanting to learn or improve their game. This position can be part-time or full-time. Must be flexible to work mornings and evenings.

Primary Duties

1. Plans, implements, assesses, and instructs a variety of group clinics.
2. Creates a positive and fun recreation atmosphere on the court.
3. Provides excellent customer service to participants.
4. Enforces facility rules and regulations.
5. Uses basic first aid procedures to assist injured players. Contacts EMS as needed
6. Works independently to solve problems and respond to issues quickly and safely;
contact supervisors for emergencies.
7. Maintains proper documentation for all accidents and incidents.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Experience planning and/or coaching racquet sports.

Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions according the established procedures.

Must be pleasant, energetic, self-motivated and action-oriented in maintaining a safe environment.

Must be able to provide fun and friendly customer relations.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in leadership or customer service.

Any combination of CPR/AED/First Aid Certification(s).

International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association (IPTPA) Certification.

Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR) Certification.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Understanding of rules, terms, and equipment used in the sport of pickleball.
2. Working knowledge of park and recreation resources and programs.
3. Ability to sit, stand, and walk. Handles or operates objects or equipment. Reaches with hands or arms. Perform light physical labor including climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling light objects.

Compensation: $12.00 - $24.00 per hour
