Join our esteemed private club as a Pickleball Pro and lead the charge in promoting this exciting sport within our community. We're looking for someone with outstanding playing skills, coaching expertise, and a genuine love for pickleball. Your responsibilities will include developing programs, conducting lessons and clinics, organizing events, and maintaining the courts and equipment. If you have a competitive background in pickleball, coaching experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for fostering a welcoming atmosphere, we invite you to apply. BHYC has over 730 member families. Including guests, we can have upwards of 5,800 people participating in summer activities! Most of our existing players see pickleball as a critical part of their own wellness and many new players see it the same way! Our members want to see our pickleball program taken to the next level, with more players, higher skill levels, increased competitive play, and more!

Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement pickleball programs catering to members of all ages and skill levels.

  • Conduct group lessons, clinics, and workshops to enhance members' pickleball skills.

  • Provide individualized coaching sessions tailored to the specific needs and goals of club members.

  • Organize and oversee pickleball tournaments, leagues, and social events.

  • Maintain the pickleball courts and equipment to ensure a safe and enjoyable playing environment.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and rules related to pickleball.

  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and camaraderie among club members.

  • Collaborate with club management to promote pickleball offerings and recruit new members.

  • Accurately report pickleball usage and financial data.




Qualifications:

  • Proven experience teaching pickleball for at least 5 years.

  • Currently rated at 4.5 or greater. Higher levels of competition are a plus

  • Certification or training from recognized pickleball organizations or coaching programs. For example: IPTPA, PPR or similar.

  • Experience working in club or resort environments preferred

  • A track record of improving player skills across levels (beginner-intermediate-advanced) and running clinics, drills or group programs as well as one-on-one sessions.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate club activities and events.
