Pipelayer/Laborer (Construction)

We are family owned business looking for a skilled Construction laborer to be a Topman/Pipelayer on a sewer and waterline crew doing municipal work in Pittsburgh, PA. Must be reliable able to pass a drug test, and must have experience in the sewer and water industry. This position is a crucial part of the crew and we need someone with both hard work ethic and brainpower.

Responsibilities:

Installation and Assembly

• Install ductile iron waterline bends, tie-ins of existing service waterlines, and hooking up water services
• Setting, stacking , & dog-housing manholes; tilting and sealing castings
• Cut pipe, install sewer pipe fittings, and perform basic plumbing tasks
• General construction labor duties
• Handle 2"-6" trash pumps in critical situations.

Safety & Workflow

• Establish and dismantle safe work zones, traffic control, barricades, and signage.
• Adhere to all OSHA protocols and company safety guidelines
• Monitor trench hazards, manage crisis situations, and support crew communication.

Qualifications/ Requirements

• 5 YEARS Proficiency/EXPERIENCE installing sewer lines and waterlines
• Proficiency in handling 2"-6" trash pumps in critical situations.
• Must be able to safely lift 50–60 + lbs.
• Ability to reliably pass drug screening

Preferred:

• CDL (preferred but not required)
• General heavy equipment operating knowledge and experience (preferred but not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $58.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
