Quantus, Inc. is a Pennsylvania-based powerhouse in Life Sciences Equipment Services, partnering with FDA, ISO, and EMA-regulated clients to keep their labs and facilities running at peak performance. From pipette calibration to microbial monitoring, we deliver precision and compliance across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. We’re a team built on collaboration, expertise, and a passion for excellence—and we’re ready for you to join us!

Job Description

Ready to turn your technical skills into a career with impact? At Quantus, we’re looking for a Pipette Calibration Technician to join our Frederick, MD team. If you’ve got experience with calibration, maintenance, or troubleshooting—or a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn—this is your shot to break into the booming Life Sciences industry.

You’ll work onsite at top biotech and pharma facilities, calibrating pipettes and volumetric devices with NIST-traceable precision. With hands-on training and cutting-edge tools, you’ll ensure the accuracy that powers groundbreaking research. This isn’t just a job—it’s a chance to grow, solve problems, and make a difference in a field that matters.

Job Responsibilities

This position requires the Pipette Calibration Technician to provide onsite services, such as:

  • Calibrate pipettes, bottle-top dispensers, and other volumetric devices to NIST-traceable standards.
  • Assist with calibrating general lab equipment like balances, freezers, and incubators alongside our expert team.
  • Use tools like gravimetric testers and software to collect and report precise measurement data (we’ll train you!).
  • Follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to keep records sharp and compliant.
  • Work in high-tech lab settings, sticking to safety protocols and industry best practices.
  • Build trust with clients by explaining your work and delivering top-notch service.
  • Get certified in a specialized trade while earning a competitive salary.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in calibration, maintenance, or a related technical role OR equivalent education (e.g., trade school or associate’s degree in a STEM field).
  • Mechanically inclined with a knack for detail—pipette experience is a plus, but not required!
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email)—we’ll teach you our custom software.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and stay active (bending, kneeling, standing) in lab environments.
  • Valid driver’s license for local travel (company vehicle provided).
  • Must pass a drug test and background check.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with GMP, GDP, or lab settings (not a must—we’ll get you there).

Why Join Quantus? At Quantus, we transform your technical talents into a springboard for a Life Sciences career. You’ll get best-in-class training, mentorship, and the latest tools to succeed, all while working on projects that shape the future of science. Join a team that’s all about empowerment, precision, and helping you thrive.
