Job Description - Plaintiff's Personal Injury Paralegal

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Why This Is a Great Opportunity

  • Bring your expertise to a firm that actually values it — this is a senior-level role built for a seasoned PI paralegal who wants to own their caseload, not just support one
  • Work on substantive, complex matters including catastrophic injury, trucking, premises liability, and wrongful death cases — no cookie-cutter files
  • Join a collaborative, tight-knit litigation team where your institutional knowledge and judgment will directly influence case outcomes
  • Earn performance-based bonuses in recognition of the experience and impact you bring
  • Enjoy a full benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), life insurance, and complimentary parking
  • Operate in a firm culture that respects paralegal expertise and gives you the autonomy to manage your cases with real authority
  • Build your next chapter at a firm where your work genuinely matters to the clients you serve

Location: This is a fully on-site role in the Memorial area of Houston, TX — a premier professional corridor with a collaborative office environment, easy access, and free parking provided. This is a place where the team shows up together and moves cases forward together.

Note: This role is specifically designed for candidates with 15+ years of plaintiff-side personal injury paralegal experience. General legal or litigation paralegal experience without a PI plaintiff focus will not meet the qualifications for this position. Texas personal injury litigation knowledge is required.

About Us

We are a dynamic civil litigation and corporate law firm based in Houston, TX, handling complex, high-stakes matters in state and federal courts across Texas and beyond. Our attorneys come from diverse backgrounds — public service, large law firms, boutique practices, and education — and that depth shapes how we approach every case: creatively, tenaciously, and always with the client's best outcome in mind. We're a firm that takes on serious cases and expects serious talent. Confidential Employer.

Job Description

  • Manage plaintiff-side personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial, with full ownership of each matter's lifecycle
  • Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel throughout the life of each case
  • Gather, organize, and analyze medical records, billing records, wage loss documentation, and all relevant damages evidence
  • Draft demand packages, correspondence, pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement documentation with precision and efficiency
  • Coordinate and track treatment updates, monitoring client progress and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
  • Support attorneys in litigation preparation — including trial prep, mediation prep, and deposition coordination
  • Manage case calendars, court deadlines, and follow-up tasks across a high-volume active docket
  • Review and summarize medical records and discovery materials to support case strategy
  • Coordinate filing of pleadings in Texas state and federal courts in accordance with all procedural requirements
  • Handle lien resolution and settlement disbursement coordination from start to finish
  • Partner closely with attorneys to move cases strategically and efficiently toward resolution

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of plaintiff's personal injury paralegal and/or case management experience — this experience must be PI plaintiff-specific, not general litigation
  • Deep knowledge of Texas personal injury litigation procedures, deadlines, and court requirements
  • Experience with complex and catastrophic matters including trucking, premises liability, wrongful death, and/or catastrophic injury preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to draft demands, discovery, and litigation documents independently
  • Strong familiarity with medical terminology, records review, and billing analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
  • Trial preparation experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills — written and verbal
  • Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload while contributing as a true team player

Why You Will Love Working Here

This isn't a role where you'll be underutilized. The firm is looking for a paralegal who brings real depth — someone who has seen complex PI cases through from first call to final disbursement and knows how to move them forward without being micromanaged. You'll work alongside attorneys who respect your expertise, on cases that carry real weight, in a culture that rewards dedication and precision. If you've spent your career building serious plaintiff-side PI skills and you want a home where that's recognized and rewarded, this is it.
