Job Description - Planning Compliance Manager | TRANSMISSION

Job Summary

Responsible for working with Transmission Planning SMEs, leaders, and the enterprise compliance team to ensure compliance with all NERC standards applicable to the Planning organization including TPL, MOD, and FAC. This individual will work with stakeholders to develop internal controls and/or advise on enhancements to existing controls. This role will have responsibility for identifying planning compliance risks, internal control gaps, and ensuring planning standard documents align with regulatory requirements. In addition, this role will assist in audit preparation efforts for planning applicable standards, will assist in implementing improvements based on audit findings, events, and lessons learned, and will coordinate with planning authority/ RTO.

Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop, improve, and execute internal controls
  • Identify compliance gaps and risks; work with stakeholders to implement improved compliance practices
  • Assist in potential non-compliance investigations for planning incidents
  • Implement compliance program enhancements associated with findings, lessons learned, events
  • Assist in development of audit evidence, RSAWs, and audit RFI responses
  • Review planning standards for compliance with requirements
  • Advise business unit stakeholders on best practices and standard adherence

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Education:  bachelor's degree (or three (3) years of additional experience in lieu of a degree)

Experience:  a minimum of seven (7) years of compliance or related utility experience

Other Requirements & Preferred Qualifications:  

- High level of motivation and commitment to demonstrating the AEP core principles.

- Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with all levels of the organization

Base Salary:  $117K - $151K

$116,255.00 - $151,132.50
