About GLOVIS EV Logistics America LLC GLOVIS EV Logistics America, is an integrated logistics company located in Savannah, Georgia. We provide Tier 1 logistic, warehousing and inventory services to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA). GLOVIS EV Logistics America was established on October 6, 2022.

Department: Vehicle Processing Center (VPC)

Reports to: Head of Department

The Manager, VPC Planning will oversee all activities related to SAV VPC Project and operations planning. This position will provide leadership and guidance to ensure the customer satisfaction is met and exceeded. The Manager will directly supervise GLOVIS staff and employees to ensure development of company goals and standards. A key focus of this role will be to enforce compliance standards and requirements, while ensuring all customer services are timely, and quality expectations are met. This VPC planning position will manage the establishing plant project for entire SAV VPC of HMGMA.

Responsibilities for Planning Manager (VPC):

• Direct and manage multi-functional VPC Operations such as S/Off, Undercover, UBC, PIO, VCRM, Yard, TP/Rail and Materials handling operations & evaluating along with KPI
• Responsible for VPC entire green field projects starting from the construction, commissioning of machinery/equipment, streamlining the project schedule and preparation & stabilizing the operational processes/procedures along with standards
• Procurement of all equipment and tools for VPC operations & Biz as per the required specification & planned project
• Responsible for implementing IT systems such as MES, ERP, iVLES, HIVIS/GQMS, VCRM, GPS Real Time tracking I/F
• Managing the quarterly and annual business plan [P&L] to meet the company's business objectives timely
• Monitor & review the performance of VPC Department through adequate KPI's & Business plan's
• Prepare and review VPC cost and revenue structures with an emphasis on continuous improvement to generate profits/costs
• Make sure that the invoiced cost would be recovered on monthly basis appropriately under the projected budgeting plan
• Co-ordinate with Production and Sales teams to create a forecasting VPC plan along with the scheduled transportation in time
• Plan & Ensure the VPC operation Staff's and employees On-board Process Manning, Training & Skill up, Evaluation, and motivation & rewards to meet the customers services
• Responsible to implement the entire VPC Operational Process & Standards such as SOP, SWIS, AQL, OP Process & Video manuals and ISO 9001:2015/ 45001 for improving the Quality and safety standards operations as well
• Responsible to improve the efficiency of Yard and Port dispatch operations by calculating the TAT & Takt time, effective vehicle route mapping set up and introducing all the OEMs best practices, etc.
• Positive relationship building with team, Quick Decision making, Effective Communication along with all staffs & PM and EC
• Procurement of the entire Operation Materials Both Direct and Indirect [Consumable, FIO/PIO/TIO/Instructional materials, Manuals, Stickers, Paint supplies, Fuels, and Safety Equipment, Facility Tools & Maintenances, etc.]
• Preparation of contracts and subcontracts, along with involvement of the legal and financial departments
• Monitoring & eradicate the safety violation and preventive measure via EAR reporting process
• Delegating the right job to the right person, Job rotation, Skill Up, Motivation & rewards
• Ensure an organization goal, objective & vision through continual improvements activities
• Planning facility layout, design and approval as per the customer's requirement along with local Govt. Authority(If needed)
• Implementing smart technologies to enhance operational efficiency
• Focused on internal and external customer satisfaction through excellent services
• Implement the Contingency plan for VPC operations to support the customer in critical situations
• Ensure and Coordinate Monthly Wholesale target, Audit compliances and accident vehicle Insurance claim process [Total Loss]
• Ensure VPC operations Machinery & Equipment Periodical Preventive Maintenance & Calibration on Regular Intervals

Qualifications for Planning Manager (VPC):

• Must be bilingual in Korean and English (Reading, Writing, and Speaking)
• Experience in logistics and warehouse planning
• College degree in business, logistics operations or related field; a combination of degree and work-related experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Database management system experience & analysis
• Ability to take initiative and think strategically.
• Business management and leadership skills are a plus
• Flexible and open to change.
• Ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
• Comfortable sitting for long periods of time while working on tasks.
