Job Summary
Planning Technician
Performs professional & technical work in the Community Development Department. Independently plans and implements current administrative planning projects and manages those applications with support/oversight as needed. Support Director of Community Development and other staff in department activities. Performs a variety of routine and complex technical and professional work in current planning of the county and the development and implementation of land use and related policies and regulations. Review and processes special event application permits.
Planner I
This role performs professional and technical work in the Community Development Department. Independently plan and implement current and long-range planning projects and manage applications and support the Director in department activities. This includes a variety of routine and complex technical and professional work in current and/or long-range planning of the county and the development and implementation of land use and related policies and regulations. Position will focus generally on permit application review for compliance with the Gunnison County Land Use Resolution.
Pay Rate
Planning Technician: hourly range is from $27.84 to $31.69, depending on experience, plus full benefits.
Planner I: hourly range is from $31.28 to $35.61, depending on experience, plus full benefits.
*The County pays monthly on the last week day of the month.*
