$90,000 – $135,000
Anderson, South Carolina (On-site)
Most plant finance roles are scorekeeping. You close the books, you publish the variance report, and operations does what operations was always going to do.
This one sits closer to the decision. As Plant Controller for a Tier 1 automotive supplier near Anderson, SC, you're the financial partner to plant leadership — the person they come to before committing to a change, not after. Budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and the analysis that tells the plant where its margin is actually going.
You'll have direct exposure to both plant and executive leadership, which means your recommendations land in front of people who can act on them.
You'll own plant-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting rather than feeding numbers into someone else's model.
You'll dig into real manufacturing economics — production output, material usage, scrap, labor, contribution margin — and build the simulations that shape operational decisions.
You'll have room to improve the function itself. Automating and streamlining the controlling and reporting process is part of the job, not a side project you have to fight for.
The organization is a stable, growing Tier 1 automotive supplier, and compensation runs $90,000 to $135,000 with bonus potential and a full benefits package.
Early in the week you're in the plant data — reviewing production output, material usage, scrap, and labor against plan, and figuring out which variances are noise and which ones are telling you something.
Midweek you're with operations leadership, walking through what the numbers mean and where the cost reduction and efficiency opportunities are. This is the part of the role where influence gets built.
You're running contribution margin and profitability analysis, modeling scenarios leadership is weighing, and preparing ad hoc analyses and presentations for management.
Around close, you're driving the monthly cycle — variance analysis, reporting, and making sure internal controls and US GAAP compliance hold up.
Throughout, you're looking for ways to make the reporting itself faster and more automated so more of your time goes to analysis instead of assembly.
This role is on-site in Anderson, SC. Relocation is not provided, and the client is not able to sponsor work visas.
