Plant Controller - Urgent

Banyan Search is assisting an exceptional corporation with a facility in Mebane, NC in their search for a Plant Controller. The Controller will report directly to the corporate CFO with dotted line reporting to the Plant General Manager. The Plant Controller will provide oversight to all accounting related activities for the Plant and will be a strategic business partner in managing financial decisions.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Lead and direct all financial operations of the facility, including leading the monthly close process, understanding financial performance, cost drivers, variances, distribution costs and anything that impacts the financial results of the facility
• Lead all budgeting and forecasting processes within the facility and explain variances as needed, including developing strategic plans and annual budgets
• Establish inventory standard costs and manage inventory valuations and cycle counts
• Monitor KPI's for facility
• Streamline and improve financial processes and reporting
• Communicate result to executive and operational leadership to promote efficiency and process improvements
• Manage all capital expenditure approvals
• Work with internal and external customers (including auditors) to support and provide reporting and analysis as needed

The Controller/Director of Finance is a critical role within this facility, and exceptional leadership and communication skills are required. In addition, the candidate should have:

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
• 8+ years of experience, with some experience as a Controller or Asst. Controller within manufacturing facility
• Proven executive leadership and management experience
• Strong systems/ERP experience
