Plant Engineer

The Plant Engineer is a vital component of the team at P B Hoidale Co Inc, a forward-thinking and results-driven company. This pivotal role revolves around designing, planning, organizing, and supervising the operation, installation, repair and maintenance of all plant machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in the plant. The Plant Engineer for P B Hoidale Co Inc will be charged with ensuring safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in all operations conducted.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and oversee all plant operations with a crucial focus on quality and efficiency.
• Maintain optimum operation by assigning workers, creating and keeping work and production schedules, hiring and training new employees, and recommending improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
• Ensure all machinery is working at optimal levels, handling any necessary repairs in a timely manner.
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
• Develop operational strategies that enhance efficiency and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Inspect plant facilities and equipment to ensure its functionality and regular maintenance.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is mandatory. A Master's degree will be highly regarded.
• Previous experience as a Plant Engineer or similar role, preferably within the same industry, is required.
• High proficiency in the use of CAD software.
• In-depth understanding of regulatory obligations for safety and environment.
• Strong problem solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
• Excellent leadership skills with a focus on personnel safety and team building.
