Plant Maintenance & Repair Technician

GFT Ready Mix is a rapidly growing, family-run business founded in 1999, built on a team-oriented culture and supportive atmosphere. We are seeking a Plant Maintenance & Repair Technician to oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair operations of our ready-mix concrete plants. This role includes troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as conveyors, feeders, batch plants, motors, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and safety oriented.

 Requirements

· At least 3+ years of mechanic repair experience in the ready-mix/concrete industry preferred 

· 1+ years’ experience welding and torch cutting experience required

· Experience in pneumatic, hydraulic equipment functions and troubleshooting

· Must be familiar with conveyors, belts, gearboxes, and drivers

· Must possess electrical experience with 120V to 460V 3 phase

· Familiarity with OSHA regulations

· Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

· Comfort with working at heights, confined spaces and in varied weather conditions

· Must be 20 years of age or older

· Must have a valid Driver’s License

· Must have a safe driving record

· Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

· Must pass a pre-employment drug screening

· Must pass a background check 

· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

· Positive attitude and a strong work ethic

· Ability to operate heavy equipment a plus!

· Ability to work a flexible schedule, which could include overtime, overnights and/or weekends

JOB DUTIES

Some job duties include but are not limited to:

· Diagnose, repair, and maintain plant equipment and machinery, including but not limited to batch plants, conveyors, motors, screens electrical systems, etc

· Perform regular inspections and maintain service logs

· Rebuild or fabricate parts as needed

· Utilize various hand and power tools to perform adjustments or dismantling

· Interpret and apply information from technical manuals

· Assist with order parts and coordinating repairs with vendors

· Operate loaders and other mobile equipment as needed

· Follow company safety and environmental protocols

· Always wear required PPE and work in compliance with OSHA safety standards
