Job Description - Plant Manager

Eaton\u2019s Mobility Business is hiring a Plant Manager for one of their Vehicle Group North America (VGNA) facilities. This position will be based in Kearney, NE.\n\n## Position Overview:\n\nReporting directly to the Director of Operations, Light Vehicle North America, this leader has responsibility for plant management including Production, Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, Program Management, HR, Finance and EHS.\n\n \nThe Plant Manager will set overall policies and procedures to ensure effective manufacturing/trading operations consistent with Eaton Business System (EBS), values and philosophy. This person will also lead the plant leadership team to develop plant strategy and tactics to achieve annual profit plan and long-term strategic plan. The Plant Manager is also responsible for leading and implementing EBS, especially in applying the tools and processes to deliver exceptional business results. This person will interface with the sales organization to ensure internal/external customer needs are met.\n\nEssential Functions: \n\u2022 Lead the Plant leadership team to deliver safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives in line with the annual profit plan. \n\u2022 Develop and execute roadmap to achieve world class manufacturing metrics defined by Eaton. \n\u2022 Ensure continued improvement in all balanced scorecard indicators with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, culture, and cost \n\u2022 Analyze short and long term manufacturing requirements and capabilities to meet annual profit plan and strategic plan goals within planning horizon \n\u2022 Provide leadership and commitment to ensure continued improvements as it relates to safety, quality, delivery, culture and cost within Eaton Business System framework \n\u2022 Manage the plant\u2019s practical capacity to ensure profitable growth \n\u2022 Analyzes short-term and long-term manufacturing requirements \u0026 capabilities to help meet divisional goals \n\u2022 Develop and maintain a high performance culture focused on continuous improvement and change; provide leadership and commitment to ensure continued improvements in the focal areas of safety, quality, delivery, culture and cost \n\u2022 Create an atmosphere and provide leadership that allows each manager to utilize his/her full potential to accomplish plant objectives \n\u2022 Provide decisions on quality related issues that cannot be brought to resolution at direct report level, and ensure compliance with all Eaton Quality System requirements including achievement and maintenance of appropriate certifications \n\u2022 Monitor product quality levels and introduce and implement new programs to assure continued improvement that meets customer requirements \n\u2022 Support meeting all of the criteria identified in the Eaton Business System, including Eaton Lean System, OpA, MESH, HR-Ops review, MMA, EBE and plant security responsibilities\n\n## Required Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Minimum 5 years of managerial experience \n\u2022 Minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience \n\u2022 Automotive or commercial vehicle industry experience preferred \n\u2022 Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship\n\nEaton Leadership Attributes: \n\u2022 Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas. \n\u2022 Demonstrates professional presence, communicates articulately and confidently. \n\u2022 Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives. \n\u2022 Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills. \n\u2022 Demonstrated success in effectively and confidently providing \u201cleadership\u201d to employees in a constantly changing environment.\n\nEducation: \n\u2022 An undergraduate degree is required. A Master\u2019s degree is preferred.\n\nCompensation: \n\u2022 Eaton recognizes this role as a critical position within the corporation and will create a compelling package consisting of a base salary, employee incentive compensation and complete benefits.\n\nLocation: \n\u2022 This position will be based in Kearney, NE.\n\nAt Eaton, we strive to provide compensation and benefits that attract, engage, and retain the best talent. This includes competitive pay and a variety of benefit programs for eligible employees. The expected annual salary range for this role is $165000 - $242000 a year.
