Job Description - Plant Manager


Midwest PMS LLC is seeking a Plant Manager for our Minatare, Nebraska location.

As a Plant Manager you will be responsible for ensuring all customer orders are manufactured safely and efficiently and that all products are delivered on time to the customer’s specifications. You will have the responsibility of leading your team and driving culture in alignment with our core business values. 

Job Title: Plant Manager

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Pay Type: Salary

Annual Pay: $85,000 - $105,000

  

Responsibilities:

  • Execute established safety, quality, operational, maintenance, and improvement strategies; ensure compliance and uphold standards.
  • Maintain facility operations within OSHA and FDA regulations, including employee training and monitoring.
  • Oversee daily operations and production processes to ensure safe, efficient performance.
  • Drive operational excellence and process improvement through standardized SOPs, EHS practices, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor production metrics to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in project development and capital execution initiatives.
  • Manage staff performance, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and retention; build bench strength and talent pipeline.
  • Collaborate effectively across business functions and communicate with key stakeholders; escalate issues and drive long-term solutions.
  • Promote a positive, energetic work environment aligned with company values; organize team-building activities.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility for maintenance execution, including preventive maintenance and critical asset management.
  • Ensure facility cleanliness, safety, and audit readiness.
  • Represent the company as a community ambassador, actively engaging in community and industry events.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
  • Management of inbound and outbound truck dispatching.

  • Strong leadership ability to guide, mentor, and inspire team members.
  • Analytical skills to resolve complex issues and implement effective solutions promptly.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and workplace safety.
  • Clear and effective communication across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrates agility and resilience in dynamic environments, adapting quickly to evolving priorities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication.
  • Industry or production experience, including knowledge of raw materials, commodities, production processes, quality control, FSMA and operating principles.
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing operations. 
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. frequently and climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Valid documentation to work in the U.S.
