Allied Reliability is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all operations of 2 food production facilities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and customer supply. This role is responsible for cultivating a robust safety culture with zero recordable incidents, delivering consistent product quality and food safety, controlling costs while increasing productivity, and guaranteeing reliable supply to our customers. The ideal candidate will be an engineering professional with substantial experience in the food industry and a passionate leader dedicated to developing and engaging people.
Description of Duties:
Establish and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the plant.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, proactively identify and mitigate hazards, and strive for zero recordable incidents.
Lead by example in embracing safe work practices at every level.
Oversee all quality assurance and food safety protocols.
Ensure that all products meet or exceed company standards and regulatory requirements.
Promote continuous improvement in food quality and safety programs.
Manage plant budgets and expenses, driving cost-effective operations and resource utilization.
Identify and implement productivity enhancements without compromising safety or quality.
Monitor key metrics, analyze trends, and drive corrective actions as needed.
Ensure uninterrupted, timely, and efficient supply of products to customers.
Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and customer service teams to anticipate and resolve any bottlenecks or disruptions.
Inspire, lead, and develop the plant workforce.
Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous learning.
Mentor team members, identify growth opportunities, and drive initiatives that boost morale and retention.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related fields).
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the food manufacturing industry, with a proven track record in plant operations management.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and engage diverse teams.
Experience in change management, talent development, and performance management.
Proficient in English
Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HAACP, GMP, ISO 22000), safety regulations, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement tools.
