Position Summary
An experienced and hands-on Plant Manager is needed to oversee extrusion operations at a plastics manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. This role manages production, safety, quality, and personnel while driving continuous improvement, efficiency, and performance excellence across all areas of the plant.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily extrusion and compounding operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
Lead and develop supervisors and team members across production and maintenance
Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives in extrusion and material handling
Manage budgets, schedules, and workflow to meet operational and financial goals
Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations
Key Skills
Strong leadership and team development abilities
Proven expertise in extrusion, compounding, and polymer processing
Demonstrated success in production management and process improvement
Education & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred)
7+ years of plastics manufacturing experience with at least 3+ years managing extrusion operations
Working knowledge of ERP systems, safety standards, and process optimization techniques
