Plant Master Scheduler

Overall responsibilities and duties

The role of the Master Scheduler within a plant is to fulfil the customer requirements by levelling the activities of the production floor.

The main missions of the role are:
Analyze, understand and anticipate the customer needs, ensuring that they are reflected in production activities.
Analyze customer Mis-deliveries Per Million (MPM) in order to propose improvement action plans: define and optimize data gathering and exchange and ensure data integrity in systems.
Follow up the achievement of the customer delivery program by managing alerts and following up with the transportation and the delivery of pieces.
Prepare the Sales & Operations Planning (PIC) monthly to obtain proper volume levels and optimize resources (employees, machines, materials and supplier readiness and capacity).
Implement and drive the Master Production Schedule (PDP) to ensure a level production plan and make production line provisions for variations of customer's demand.
Manage the pool and safety stocks levels.
Check that the sequencer and procurements are consistent with the PDP.
Submit/implements at least two Continuous Improvement ideas per month.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will have/be: strong analytical and problem solving skills, project management skills, and be able to maintain good communication with customers and the team.
Minimum education level: Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, Master's degree in engineering preferred

Physical Requirements
Exposed to heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
Job involves lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and safety anti-cut sleeves required in production area due to physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts, and product.
