Plant Operator - Water Treatment

As Plant Operator you will be responsible for;

• Operate and monitor water and wastewater treatment plant equipment including pumps, filtration systems, chemical feed systems, and related infrastructure.


• Monitor plant performance through SCADA systems and make adjustments to treatment processes as needed.


• Maintain proper chemical dosage levels to ensure effective treatment.


• Collect samples and perform basic water quality testing.


• Read meters, gauges, and instrumentation and maintain accurate operational logs and reports.


• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.


• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating equipment.


• Monitor and assist with operation of Allen Bradley PLC-based control systems.


• Respond to equipment malfunctions, alarms, and emergency situations in a timely manner.


• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.


• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.


• Communicate operational updates and issues with supervisors and plant staff.


• Participate in training and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications;

• Minimum 5 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment plant operations or a related industrial environment.


• Understanding of water/wastewater treatment processes.


• Experience working with SCADA systems and Allen Bradley PLCs.


• Ability to read gauges, meters, and operational diagrams.


• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Salary Range: $35 - 45/hr + OT 

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
