Location: Center, North Dakota (35 miles from Bismarck)

Overview:

We are hiring a hands-on and detail-oriented Plant Specialist to support boiler systems operations at a two-unit coal-fired power facility. This role focuses on technical execution, maintenance coordination, and system performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the preparation of construction drawings and specifications for plant equipment

• Assist in the installation and troubleshooting of new and replacement boiler system components

• Work with operations and maintenance to resolve system issues with engineered solutions

• Monitor and manage boiler, air heater, and gas path maintenance activities

• Track boiler operating conditions and report on performance

• Participate in inspections and provide technical support for plant equipment

• Assist in plant data analysis and suggest efficiency or safety improvements

• Identify training needs and support capital and O&M project initiatives

• Ensure work complies with current safety and environmental regulations

• Maintain accurate system records, files, and documentation

• Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and other departments as required

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a relevant technical field (required)

• Welding background preferred

• 2-5 years of experience in a power plant or industrial setting (preferred)

• Solid technical and troubleshooting skills

• Strong communication and documentation abilities

• Familiarity with plant safety practices and maintenance operations
