Plating Finisher

Description

 Job Summary:

The Plating Finisher will be responsible to learn multiple plating operations, and operate manufacturing machinery, including Nickel plate, Zinc plate, Emerlon, Black ox, Zinc phosphate, Brass and running the Rampe and Sweco vibratory mills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret blueprints and follow plating instructions.

· Operate manufacturing machinery to perform plating procedures.

· Setup plating processes.

· Maintain correct tolerances and quality specifications.

· Perform other functions as needed

Requirements

 Required Skills/Abilities: 

· Ability to read blueprints.

· Ability to exercise sound judgment in adapting setups.

· Must work well independently and in a team environment.

· Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

· Ability to communicate and work with people in office, factory, and inspection as required.

· Must be safety oriented.

· Ability to maintain correct tolerances and quality specifications.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required. 

· At least one year of related experience preferred.

· Previous plating experience preferred.

· Some knowledge of plating chemicals is preferred.

Physical Requirements: 

· Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.

· Must wear safety glasses.

· Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. 

· Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
