Position Summary 

AEMI is looking to add a Plating Technician, responsible for conducting tin-lead, nickel, or gold metal finish through electroplating processes. This role will ensure high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Set up and operate electroplating equipment according to specifications.
• Prepare surfaces for plating by cleaning and masking as required.
• Monitor plating processes, adjusting parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Conduct inspections of plated parts for quality assurance, identifying defects and inconsistencies.
• Maintain proper chemical balances and perform regular maintenance on plating baths.
• Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and provide support in troubleshooting issues.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• US Citizen or Permanent resident (Green Card Holder)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in manufacturing and/or the aerospace industry preferred
• Previous experience or training in electroplating, metal finishing is preferred
